ABP American Brilliant Cut Glass Vase Intaglio Primrose Silver Threads Hobstars

  

It is cut with Tuthill-style Intaglio /Gravic Primrose-like Flowers, numerous hobstars and Sinclaire-style vertical silver threads. It is thickly blown, the glass metal of very high quality, the foot bottom star cut. All of the mitre cuttings are polished to a high standard the old fashion way (no acid polish and no striations or evidence of the use of diamond coated wheels).

The quality of craftsmanship is high. It is a beautiful piece of old American Brilliant Period cut glass. Size : 8 tall x 3.5 diameter rim, 4.25 diameter belly. Fine condition , free of chips, cracks, repairs, and excessive use-wear.

We can not even find a single frit or sharp edge on the rim. The rim scallops are original without damages or repairs. The glass metal is colorless, clear, bright & brilliant without any sickness. The inside bottom surface has some very light residue which we could not reach with our bottle brush. The foot bottom has some light use-wear scuffs.

Overall the vase might have occasional light use-wear, but nothing unsightly we can see. As always due to age may have slight imperfections such as minor scuffs, scratches, trim wear, and/or slight manufacturing defects. Please view all photos as they are part of this condition report.
