HAWKES American Brilliant Cut Glass 18 Trumpet Vase

  
This listing is for a stunning American Brilliant Period cut glass tall trumpet vase by Hawkes, c. This amazing vase is decorated with fan cuttings below the rim with vertical cut ribs decorated with zipper or notch cut edges. The bottom third of the vase has a octagonal shape with six panel cuttings with tiny notch cut edges above a solid glass lower pedestal and a heavy, wide base with multi-point star cutting on the bottom. The base is nicely balanced in weight and is not top heavy. Although unmarked, the vase has many of the characteristics of Hawkes cut glass from this period. Measures 18" high with the top measuring 6 1/4" in diameter and the base measuring 5 5/8 in diameter. This gorgeous vase is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws or repairs. There may be a tiny nick in the cut designs, however, we found nothing wrong with this beautiful piece other than the expected minor rubbing around the bottom outside edge of base from normal wear.
