Beautiful late 1800s English Cut Glass Bottle Vase Floral River Scene. Presented is a gorgeous antique English cut glass bottle form vase, dating to around the late 1800s. The vase is beautifully cut and etched with incredibly detailed plants and flowers, surrounding a pagoda on a bridge over a river, with a sailboat nearby.
All of the decoration is quite skillfully done with a fantastic level of texture and a lively quality, making this a very impressive piece. This piece is in excellent overall condition. There is a little sickness to the glass here and there, but with all the cut decoration this is hard to notice without careful inspection. There are no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs. We do not believe this piece to have had a stopper, looking at the interior of the neck.
The bottle is unsigned, but the quality of the glass cutting work suggests a high end maker like Thomas Webb or Stevens & Williams. This piece stands about 10 1/4 inches tall and measures about 4 1/2 inches in diameter at the widest point. Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution.
