The vase is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. There are some surface scratches as with all pieces of this age, and of course as expected to the base. The piece is signed to the base Michael Harris Mdina Glass Malta.

This is a Cut-Ice Lollipop vase, this is due to the 2 polished flat sides to the front of the vase and its shape. This is the earliest form of production Cut-Ice lollipop vase you will find. This is a true collectors piece, it also appears to have been made by Michael as well as signed by him, this is apparent in some pieces and experienced collectors will know how to spot which ones Michael made himself, this is one.

This is a rare opportunity to own a unique piece of Mdina history and Michaels earliest work. The vase also contains the early amethyst colours indicative of the earliest days of production at Mdina and has a magnificent core of colour and patterns.
