Moser Deer Intaglio Cut Crystal Art Glass Vase. A museum quality, antique Bohemian intaglio cut crystal vase with deer motif. Features a masterfully done and incredibly detailed nature scene with a large rearing buck bearing it's teeth and horns with a resting doe at it's feet. Reminiscent of Rowland Ward game hunt glassware. Very likely produced by Moser of current day Czech Republic during the second half of the 19th century.

The vase was hand blown with a very heavy crystal glass which features a light straw tone. This appears lighter in person with the color being mostly non existent under normal lighting. The panels were cut and polished. Many interesting attributes of antique blown and cut glass are present. Bubbles and waves are found in areas.

The base has a circular area where the pontil marking was ground and polished. Moderate use wear along base edge.

A tiny spot along the rim will catch a nail if run along the top. Invisible unless searching for it under strong lighting.
